This is a photo of my current recording kit. I also use this
as a teaching kit in my studio. It features DW Drums,
paiste and zildjian cymbals, LP cowbells, 9 piece temple
blocks by Adams percussion,
and a Craviotto timeless timber birch snare drum.
Currently, I play with The Road Hogs, a band that I find absoloutely
fabulous, and so much fun to play with. Check us out by clicking
here: The Road Hogs I began playing drums at age 9....I'm 44 now, and have really
had fun studying drums these past 35 years. My main teacher was a
fellow by the name of Art Flower.
I studied with him for about 7years.
He was well known around
the bay area for his versatility in
jazz, and modern music, and also
for participating with the San Francisco symphony.
I owe Art alot for not
only teaching me, but also for
teaching me to teach myself.
Something that I hope to pass on to
my own students.
Currently, I teach about 15 students, ranging in ages from 10, to 45.Also I'm working for an independant label in Santa Barbara, CA (Cypher Arts)
that is producing some maginificent progressive rock music. I am lucky to
be part of the projects that are presently being worked on. There is
a sample of a tune did last year on my "sound sample" page. The final
of this tune, and many other fine pieces are set to come out sometimeearly in 2007. This was recorded prior to all the new gear
I just acquired, so my drum sound is not as magnificent as it is now....However,
there are some great performances on that tune.

This is my dad's painting. click here to see it full size.
